Terms and Conditions

We aim to excel in the quality of our produce and the service we provide. By shopping with us online you can expect high standards, just as our shop customers do.

All our goods and services comply with all the standards required by relevant legislation. When shopping with us online, a Contract of Sale is made at the time we accept your order, and the contract shall be under English law, irrespective of where you are. By confirming your order on the website you accept these terms and conditions.

Delivery times
We offer a courier delivery service every Friday for England, Wales and Scotland (EH and G postcodes only). Unfortunately we are unable to deliver outside mainland UK. This means we are unable to send products to offshore Islands, N. Ireland, Eire and some parts of Scotland. Orders that have been placed between 11:01pm Tuesday and 11:00pm Wednesday will be delivered the following Friday.

We offer a free delivery service every Friday within a 10 mile radius of Boston. This delivery service can be chosen at checkout.

Delivery Arrangements
All orders are dispatched on a 24 hour courier service and endeavour to be with you before 4pm on your chosen day. All deliveries will be made by APC Overnight and all packages must be signed for, therefore please ensure that someone is at the address to accept delivery. The trained delivery drivers will have explicit instructions to leave your chill-pack in a reasonably secure place at the premises if no-one is available, and will not take the package back to their depot. The drivers know they are carrying perishable goods. The delivery shall be deemed to have been made either when the consignee accepts delivery in person, or when the driver leaves your chill-pack at the unattended premises. If you have particular delivery instructions, please advise at the time of ordering. 

You may opt to collect your order in person from our shop, in which case it will be available for you the next day after placing the order (except Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). Therefore orders will be available for collection as below:

Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday - Collection Wednesday between 1:00pm and 4:00pm

Orders placed on Wednesday - Collection Thursday between 1:00pm and 4:00pm

Orders placed on Thursday - Collection Friday between 1:00pm and 4:00pm

Orders placed on Friday - Collection Saturday between 9:00am and 12:00noon

Goods not collected within two days after they are available for collection will be disposed of, and the order deemed complete. No refunds can be made for uncollected orders.

Packaging for Delivery
You may rest assured we have taken great care to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition. Our packaging standard has been carefully designed to maintain a temperature within the chill-pack of less than 5oC for 48 hours - double the time your chill-pack should spend in transit. Your meat will be vacuum packed, where possible, in an food-safe polythene pouch or a tear-proof polythene bag, then placed in a rigid polystyrene outer box, the ‘chill-pack'. Each pack is provided with ice-replacement sheets - non Hydrated ice packs, which will keep your order at the required temperature during transit. In local areas only, we will deliver directly from our shop to your door, and packaging will vary from that described above.
Packaging and delivery prices 
Courier Deliveries
We charge a simple flat rate for delivering any order in the UK - £5.95, for up to 20 Kilograms. This is added to the cost of your order. We are able to offer delivery to all addresses in England, Wales and Scotland (EH and G postcodes only). Unfortunately we are unable to deliver outside mainland UK. This means we are unable to send products to offshore Islands, N. Ireland, Eire and some parts of Scotland. If you require an order that exceeds 20 Kilograms, then please call +44 (0)1205 362 327 for details.

Free Local Deliveries
Customers in the postcode areas of PE21, PE20, PE22, PE12, PE11 and LN4 can opt for a free local delivery. Your order will be delivered on a Friday by our own Andrew Beeson Butchers van. Orders must be received by 10.00am Thursday for delivery the next day.

Free In-store Collection
You can choose to collect any size of order yourself, from our shop in Boston, without any delivery or packing charge. If you do this, you will notice that we charge exactly the same for meat ordered online as we do in our shop.

Acceptable Weight Variation
When you place your order, it will be for a nominal weight of produce, at a specified price. We will collect the payment via the payment method you select when placing the order. Because orders are individually prepared, it can be expected that there may be some small variation in weights above or below the weight you choose, and it is impractical for us to request additional payments or process small refunds. We will ensure that this variation never exceeds more or less than 10% of any item specified. Items delivered within 10% of the weight ordered shall be deemed complete.
Cooking Instructions
Please notethat all cooking appliances vary in performance. Therefore the cooking instructions that have been given are guidelines only. Always check that the product piping hot and completely cooked, therefore up to temperature, before consumption.

Unfulfilled Orders
Because of the seasonal nature of some of our produce and limited supply, it is possible that from time to time, we may be unable to fulfil some orders. If your order is for one specific joint or meal item we will let you know as quickly as possible, within one working day of you placing the order, and offer alternative produce or cancellation at your discretion. In the event of us having to cancel, we will make an immediate and full refund of any monies paid. If your order is a large selection of items we reserve the right to substitute meat of equal or superior quality and value and of the same type.

When you place your order, it will be for a selection of meat at a specified price. Because orders are individually prepared, it can be expected that there may be some variation in stocking some items and it is impractical for us to contact you to regarding this.
Christmas Poultry & Festive Products
Christmas Poultry & Festive Hampers must be ordered by Saturday 7th December, unless stated otherwise in the product description.
Festive Season Deliveries
Courier Deliveries
The last date for courier deliveries in 2013 will be Friday 20th December. Courier deliveries will resume on Thursday 9th January 2014.
Free Local Deliveries
The last date for local deliveries in 2013 will be Friday 20th December. Local deliveries will resume on Friday 10th January 2014.
Free In-store Collections
The last date for In-store collections in 2013 will be Monday 23rd December between 10:00am and 6:30pm. In-store collections will resume on Wednesday 8th January 2014.

Guarantee of Satisfaction
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the produce received, you should contact us within 24 hours of receipt. All complaints will be dealt with personally and immediately by the proprietor Andrew Beeson, who undertakes to resolve all complaints to your satisfaction within 7 days. Your statutory rights are not affected. We regret we are not able to accept returned goods or claims for goods ordered in error, due to their perishable nature.

Non-Delivery Claims
In the event of your order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by email or by telephone within 24 hours of the expected delivery. We will immediately investigate and let you know the situation. Should your order not be delivered within one working day of the date given in the website acknowledgement, you will be entitled to a full and immediate refund.

We regret that due to the very short timescale involved in processing fresh meat orders, you cannot cancel or amend your order once it has been placed.

Data Protection
All personal data we collect from you will be used exclusively for the purposes of our relationship, to help us offer improved or new services to you, and may be stored on computer. Your details will be held securely, in confidence, and never disclosed to any third party without your express permission.
